Big bold fruit flavors with a port-like intensity. Dark plum and cherry cough syrup predominant. Very nicely balanced. $60 btl from WTSO, purchased 5 years ago. QPR is spot on.

Underpar, Below expectations. Disappointed. Anthem delivers a generic cab with nothing specific to such a great vineyard. None of the minerality, none of that great terroir. Nothing like a Paul Hobbs nor Quivet Cellars

I continue to be very consistently impressed by these 2012 Napa Cabs. This one is a nice blend of fruit, gravel, herbs, toffee, nice diverse palate. Big, bold, complex, tasty. Love it!

This sweet and ripe wine is my least favorite Las Piedras I've ever tasted; I guess it's OK, but it's generic - and a waste of a good vineyard. Ruby red in color, full in body, nose of blueberry pie, licorice, and liqueur. Tastes of black cherry, milk chocolate, and vanilla, with a soft and syrupy finish. 15.5% alcohol. I was surprised to find none of the gravelly under-tones that I think make this vineyard so special. I have to …

This was a perfectly acceptable Las Piedras offering; but it lacked the complexity, structure, and vitality of some of the premier producers such as Myriad, Schrader, and Hobbs. Medium purple to the stem with a primary nose of sweet cherry and assorted dark fruit. Did not fan out all that well at this young age displaying mostly primary blackberry and cherry with hints of clove. This may benefit from further time in the cellar to release some secondary components. Probably …

Attractive nose along with an appealing dark reddish purple color. On the palate, dark berry fruit, cassis and a touch of spice. It started out a bit tight and acidic but it has opened up nicely with some air. I'd call this one a good 92+ points and perhaps more with plenty to go. Not a Carter, Myriad or Quivet Beckstoffer LPV as it doesn't reveal that type of depth, but pretty nice none the less.
