PnP. Very plummy, with some cherry flavors and spices. Modest tannins and decent acidity enabled good pairing with homemade pasta marinara. Good QPR!

big, juicy, fruity valpol-style blend not that easy to pair w food, but tonight went well w chicken thighs cacciatore (thinking some italian value-oriented vintners might do well to dial it back toward dryness; have had recent value nebbiolos and even a bargain barolo that were pretty difficult to food-pair, being dominant and spritzy-fruity) I coulda sworn I reviewed the 2016 here, which of course is better, not as forward, more class and elegance and restraint even in its berry …

Need to go back to Costco and grab a few more bottles! Really enjoyed this one. Easy drinking weekday wine. Bright fresh cherry, strawberry.
