Not blind. This opened up nicely over a couple of hours. Initially a little flat and dead on the nose. More French that a normal Pahlmeyer. Rounded and darker with the hints of petroleum that�s classic Pahlmeyer. Definitely way above the std Pahlmeyer. Rounded with fruit and hints of strawberry I was struggling for 95 but maybe 94?

Medium to deep garnet with a slight bricking in the edges. Perfumed nose with cedar, baking spices, and minerality. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) and a full body. Body packs a punch with some black cherries, dark chocolate and gravel. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2033.

Beautiful black and red fruit compote on the nose. At 11 years of age, it has slightly mellowed into a gentle giant vs a monster. Drinks in an exceptionally well balanced and smooth way. The fruits paired well with black truffle over spaghettini as well as with a ribeye steak. This is a special occasion wine. Truly powerful and special.

nose - compote, fruit leather, mouth -ultrarich with oodles of fruit. reminiscent of Hundred Acre. explosive at first but actually becomes tiresome rather quick.

Nose is simply incredible. Totally lives up to the hype. Flavors are a little closed at this point. Super long finish.
