Very pale colour, going to guess this is mainly refill casks. Much less smoky on the nose than standard bottling, more of that bacon crisp and popcorn note, saline, more of that sea air smell. Peppery and spicy on the palate, wood smoke lurking in the background. Water brings out vanilla and aniseed. Smooth, subtle whisky.

This is Bunnahabhain but they're not allowed to advertise the fact Creamy, toffee nose, fudge, tobacco and leather Quite a bit of tannin on the palate then creamy texture with flavours of dried fruit, tobacco and rum. There's some smoke here but it's not a peat monster Very long, exceptionally good
