Ethan Lindquist Syrah Purisima Mountain

Big and bold, this was all about the fruit. Yes, there were some meaty, savory notes underneath, but they were overwhelmed by the molten, rich dark plums, blueberries, etc. Took a sledgehammer to the beef wellington, but was quite lovely as an after dinner cocktail. I'll be curious to read notes about this one in a few years to see if it became something more, or fell apart.
