Bell Wine Cellars, Chardonnay, Yountville

This 2007 chardonnay from Bell Family Vineyards displayed flavors of tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango with additional flavors of peaches, green apple, lime zest, vanilla, and a little oak. The finish lingers pretty well. Aromas of those acidic fruits are on the forefront with background notes of toast and oak rounding out the nose. Just got home from Nags Head and needed a cold white. Decent although a little heavy on the oak. Otherwise good balance.

No notes. Not bad. Simple, uncomplicated.

Very nice, well-balanced Chardonnay. needed a day to open-up in bottle (second day much more balanced and smooth). Nice notes of pear, honey, and vanilla with hints of apple and oak. Not too fruity and unbalanced like the unfortunate un-oaked chards or like the butter-bombs. Definitely worth the price point, and could probably find it cheaper in a less boutique location.
