This vintage was perfectly ready to drink. All of the bitterness of the young wine was gone and the merlot-cab blend shone through to perfection. The wine was a perfect match for filet mignon sous vied and seared to perfection. I'm sorry that this was my last bottle.

Thin and a bit austere. Dark fruits and plums, with some licorice. Not an old world style so disappointing from that standpoint. For a $20 Beaudeaux I’m don’t think there should be higher expectations. Let breathe for an hour and certainly approachable.

A nice daily drinker. Dark fruit and not too much else going on. Medium acidity and smooth tannins. Very easy to drink.

Medium body with understated fruit. Well balanced with mild tannins and a medium finish. Went well with sharp cheese and beef.

Medium bodied. Smooth. Easy drinking. Nothing bold or robust

I found this bizarre. The nose showed notes of caper and juniper, with horse hair and a hint of peat. The palate showed some sweet blackberry fruit, but overall was very dry and medicinal, with flavours of fennel, fennel seed, and pickles. Structurally, it was quite easy-drinking: light-to-medium-bodied, with gentle tannin and acid.

Medium clear ruby with white rim. Aroma of plums, wintergreen mint, and cedar. Extra dry, with medium body, and grippy tannins. Taste of sour cherries and juicy plums, with a medium long finish of underripe blackberries.

Exceedingly muted black fruits especially plum could lend this a touch of austerity but hints of liquorice, bolshy tannins and an inherent fleshiness make this a good cheap quaffing Bordeaux that marries well with lamb rump.

Poured by the glass at Potato Head, Pacific Place, Jakarta. Much better than your average bar by the glass pour, in my view. Eminently enjoyable during a casual after work session.

Thin, classic red fruit but hidden behind soft tannin and well judged acidity. Too much reductivity here and an obtrusive iron note overpowering the finish. It's dirty, thin and uninteresting, although drinkable. Not one to age much longer, drink before 2018. Not their best vintage, nor was it great in Bordeaux, but given the pedigree of the owners, this is a big disappointment for the price.

Okay, but not much more than that, but I would not mind drinking it again. A little spicyness raises it from dull to okay.
