Fabulous. Delicious, crisp, smooth, with plenty of tiny bubbles. Great for a special occasion.

not blind A bit disappointing, few bubbles, too sweet, no real concentration. I prefer the white wine by far. A bit too cold served. The last bottles were much better. 92-93

Pink/ruby color, abundant medium bead. Aromas of cherry, lemon, and a bit of toast. Palate has cherry, strawberry, apple, and a bit of lemon with a slight toasted bread note on a medium-long finish. Some cranberry notes appear with time in the glass. Expect this gets better with more time in the cellar for my tastes. Hold.

Pale red dress. Oxidative, sweet, polished. Good—and undeniably great. Enough said.

Very enjoyable with continued freshness. Bubbles are small but vivid. Good champagne but you’re paying a significant premium for the label

BYO old vintage Champage (NOTK, Rotterdam) : High intensity on the nose. Reductive, rose petals, savoury. Very good, but it doesn’t have layers of complexity; what you smell is what you get. High acidity, long finish

Pretty color of light salmon. Nose of strawberries, light raspberries, limes, green apples, light yeast, minerals and spices. Medium plus in body with medium acidity and small bubbles. Dry on the palate with strawberries, tart cherries, lemons, green apples, grapefruits, bitter herbs, spices, light earth, yeast, sea salt, light brioche and minerals. This 17 year old Rosé Champagne is always delicious. Rich and plentiful. Nicely balanced and elegant. Will continue to drink nicely in the next 7 years. Easy drinking, …

Nose: strawberry, mandarin peel, coconut, raspberry, rose, maltose, sesame, gummy bear Notes: 12.5% ABV, believed to be 5g dosage and disgorged 2019. Full of freshness with great acidity I continue to be convinced that this might be the best Rose Dom made since 1996. With excellent aromatics and long stamina this wine is clearly built for the long haul and is still in its youth. Despite drinking nicely now but I do feel another couple of years will bring out …

Dinner at Regalia (Chicago, IL) : The DP Rosé is always a bit of a weird one -- it never shows as well young as the regular, and this bottle is true to those experiences. It's a very stern and structural wine, showing lots of the steely Dom reduction. Touches of tart red fruit (think raspberries and maybe even cranberries) but this has the mineral stuffing for the long haul. Maybe I'll even get to see this mature in my …

Still great. Lost some of the early fruity exuberance- some dry almost bitter uplift but this is still top drawer and should develop very well

Intense serious fizz. Red orange colour with apricot nose and blood orange on the palate. More a wine with bubbles than a fizz. Different style and a step up from preceding Charles Heidsieck 2008 rose (but that was excellent too)

This has such an incredibly beautiful colour; like orange stained glass in an old cathedral window. Wonderfully fragrant toasted strawberry on the nose. On the palate the fruit is to the fore but in a very elegant way, carried by a fine mousse with good acidity. Really lovely champagne and I could imagine this getting even better with a few more years in the cellar.

No formal notes taken. This is a great Dom Pérignon and clearly shows all the hallmarks of the 2008 vintage: complexity, freshness, and balance. The Rose adds an extra layer of fragrant red berry aromatics, making it slightly more layered, though not necessarily better. I still prefer the white 2008, and more broadly, I have yet to taste a Rose Champagne that truly convinces me that the style is superior. That said, this was excellent.

Light medium Atlantic salmon color. Drank a couple glasses over 90 minutes. (PN59/C41, 12 yrs on lees). So happy to have a chance to crack one of these; been looking forward to it for some time. This is simply crazy good and just so ethereal. The nose is killer, with bright wild strawberries, framboise, rose petals, immensely floral, blood orange, Mirabelle plum, and truffle. The palate is sublime, so elegant, expansive, crystalline minerality, featherwight and lifted, such pretty fruit, nice …

Ripe strawberries, ripe red cherries, brioche, fresh baked cookies and cream on the nose. High intensity of aromas. At 17, the palate is JUST starting to develop more "goût anglais" flavors (graham cracker, malt and toffee) and they mesh with the ripe wild strawberries on the palate PERFECTLY. Cream and yeast round everything out, as does a high intensity of flavors. Texturally big and rounded. Medium + body with sturdy medium + acid and an aggressive medium + mousse. Drinking …

Drank at the Omnia in Zermatt. Intriguing color of bright cranberry syrup. The fruit profile showed intense light red berry along with wine-poached pear. Thick, salt crusted layer of minerality. Also chalk, sea breeze and fresh green herbs. The palate is notably fresh and well-structured – but maybe just slightly rough around the edges of the finish. Ends dry with hints of almonds and citrus juice. The palate tones down the aromatic breadth a bit as a small point of …

Beautiful and celebratory champagne. This was broadly appealing and the first to go. Fruit and citrus followed by some toasty micro bubbles- amazing and would buy again for a special occasion.

From Magnum, this was wonderful. The full array of patisserie products on the nose along with cherry and orchard fruits. The palate has such great depth and definition. It is creamy rich, layered and super long. The finish is loaded with chalk.

Served next to the ‘96 P2 Rosé this was a ridiculous side by side. Both are definitely cream of the crop when it comes to Rosé and they varied little. Shh but I have to give the nod to this ‘08 for my taste preference as it was just a touch more powerful and generous than the incredibly sophisticated ’96. The fact it is 3-4x less is also a large factor. The fruit and texture seemed endless on the fine …
