While the nose is undeniably "berry-berry" and bright, the overall experience was somewhat underwhelming. It felt one-dimensional, lacking the complexity I look for in a red Burgundy. The mid-palate felt slightly hollow (thin), and the fruit, though pure, didn't have enough substance to back it up. Interestingly, I picked up some nuances that felt like stem influence, even though it's known to be 100% destemmed. Not quite to my personal taste as it lacked depth and structure.

Wines at Christmas gathering with high-school friends : Not as light as previous Caroline Morey reds that I've tried but still a very pretty wine despite some Chassagne tannins present. More earthy than the other two Pinots that made it clear that it was a Burgundy. Has the structure to age.

Only had a small sip, needs a bit more time to come together and lose some of its 'roundness', if that makes sense.

Banger. Reduction on the nose but it’s light flintiness, not stinky at all. Fantastic acid/fruit balance but so lithe. Outstanding clarity and balance. Some light gravel on the finish, good minimality. I’m sure this will keep getting better but it’s already so good now.
