Minimal petrol in the nose, honey, melon and wine lees in the nose. straw in color. A little flabby though with an off flavor on the palate. Light finish, true to a dry Riesling.

Chicago Riesling Summit 2011 (Sun Wah BBQ, Chicago, IL) : The winemaker at Markko studied under Dr Konstantin Frank, and I have been told this is one of the best riesling producers in Ohio. I brought this just to compare to the rest of the wines, all of which were from Germany/Alsace. Ohio Wine and Grape Conference 2009 (Wooster, Ohio) : Light nose with apples and sap. Mineral and bright acids with a really nice cut. Faceted rather than seamed and pretty for it. Limestone finish. Very, very nice.
