Opened at Whale in HK. Slow-oxed for 1.5h before enjoying. Bonus spontaneous bottle given that a friend had never had Lurquin before. Was very grateful for the comment 'this is probably the best Coteaux that I've ever had' - which is probably true, given Lurquin's wines just keep on impressing me. Opened at Whale in HK. Double-decanted and served blind. Wildcard of the evening, given that the theme was Champagne or Burgundy. No one managed to guess Meunier, which was fun for me. Marginally better than pevious bottles, which show that these are just rounding out with a bit of time. Lovely fruit coming through and very pure - I will try my best to keep my hands off my remaining bottles as I think these will really come around nicely …

Opened at Mosu in HK. Slow-oxed for 2 hours before serving. 210 Bottles Made. This was really interesting to try, and probably my favourite out of the Lurquin flight. Despite its obvious youth, this opened up quite nicely and was both aromatically expressive (red fruits, but slightly dry like cherries) and cleanly made. For a ripe vintage the alcohol was well handled as well, unlike the 2019 Pinot Coteaux which was at 15%! Good texture going down as well and …
