Whoa, this might need to be cellared for 10 years. Pure syrah flavor and aroma, but quite acidic and somewhat bitter and astringent at this point in time. Needs food. I suspect the astringency is due to the use of whole cluster with unripe, or just too many, stems. Not a great wine at present.

Decanted and drank over multiple hours. First few hours, the wine was acidic and I was disappointed that I bought a case. But around the 4th hour, the wine came around and the fruit emerged, but that was my last glass. Decant for 4+ hours next time, or let this baby rest a few more years.

Cool climate Syrah, boysenberry, cracked peppercorn, basil. Good flavor profile, but somewhat lean in the mid-palate with elevated acidity. Mild tannins. Improved with aeration. Quite solid and true to type, though for my taste the depth and balance isn't there to justify further aging. Which is a moot point since this was my only bottle . . . .
