Ortas / Cave de Rasteau Côtes du Rhône Le Grand Jas

This grew on me. Big earthy nose with a strawberry overtone. Almost purple in the glass. Start is hard to pinpoint. Maybe tart raspberry. The transition and finish are definitely interesting. A definite oaky middle gives way to a medium finish of cedar and burnt toast. Full tannins and medium to light on body. Noted that second glass was much more flavorful due to decanting.
