Domaine Perrot-Minot Griotte-Chambertin

Lovely bottle. Well structured and silky smooth. No tertiary flavours yet but lots of fruit and a resonably long finish.

Medel rubin. Medel gardiner (13 procent). Frisk doft av körsbär och jordgubbar samt liten träighet och örtkryddor. Mycket bärsaftig med knappt medelsyra och i det närmaste obefintliga tanniner. Ganska kort eftersmak. Slank, god vuxensaft.

In its peak window. Tertiary and sauvage aromas with a bit more fruit on the palate. All in balance with medium pls finish. Yum.

Good. Not great. A bit sour. Food pairing a bit questionable though

Good G-C. Fruit forward, some tones of mushroom and autumnal leaves

Pretty, floral aromatics, sweet palate.

Quality was clear night one but beautiful day 2. Supple, bright, textured.pomegranate, thyme, dried roses. Delicious. Won't open another for a few years.

A delicious village Gevrey - vibrant royal red, ample red fruit (raspberries especially) and some faint vanilla on the nose immediately after opening that tended to fade a little as the wine opened to reveal faint mushroom and earth of northern Cote de Nuit (do NOT decant as you may miss the fruit!). The length and complexity is a little short but the tanins well balanced and already smooth across the palate. Worth drinking now - matched duck confit superbly.

Decanted for 1 hour and consuned from hours 1-3. Benfitted from air. Lightly reductive nose of matchstick that dimished with air and never interferred. Pretty aromas of black cherry, light spice, wet moss, and matchstick (background). Moderate strength flavors of black cherry, finishing with berry and light silky tannins. Moderate complexity with a lingering finish. Enjoyable now, with upside from here. 91-93.

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL) : Tasting, brief note. All black cherry and berry with some earth. Good weight for its level, slightly simpler than the other P-M cuvees tasted today. Good now, certainly with the ability to age.

The bouquet was a gorgeous mix of earth, crushed berries, sweet spices, and undergrowth. On the palate, I found silky textures with flesh cherry fruit offset by zesty minerals and acid, creating a sweet and sour performance with amazing depth and freshness. The finish was long with a tart tug of red berries and lingering earth tones. Very Nice.

More Young Burgundy (K&L Wines, San Francisco) : Light ruby. Obvious brett present. Ripe light cherry fruit, a small amount of soil. You feel the wood later, and that plus the funk make for an astringent finish. I have not had very good experience over the years with this producer.
