Simi Malbec Winemaker's Select Block No. 2

I am not a huge Malbec fan, but this is definitely a good one... a bit expensive for sure, but even so, exceptional nose of spice, mulberry, plums .... medium-full body with similar mulberry, plum, cocoa tastes and a decent finish, but fades too quickly

Early tasting from Simi wine club shipment, and a delightful experience. Very robust wine, with a heavyweight feel. Subtle nose, reminiscent of a Boudreaux with mild fruit, and more cherry or licorice. Powerful, full bodied flavor matched to Malbec, with dark chocolate or licorice, and moderate tannin. Lingers on palate, with smooth finish. Still a bit young, and expect flavors to develop as it settles and ages. I feel like this should cellar a year or two, and should mature …
