3 hour decant. Got better and better over the course we drank it. Savoury, earthy, with eucalyptus tones. Yum

Gave it an hour of air. Utterly delicious! No hurry to drink, but already so much balance. The nose was dominated more by fruit and the palette by earth and minerality and spice.

Decanted and served immediately. Cassis, plum, mint, menthol, capsicum, earth. Mid weight and fleshy in the mouth, with tannins integrating nicely into a finish with good length and just a bit of grip. Really enjoyed this. Opens up even more with time, giving off red floral notes.

Decantered for an hour and drunk over the next 2 Approachable, but the best years are ahead (advise a longer decant). Dark, almost back in colour, blackberries with slightly drying tannins Very nice. 93-94pts

Touch of menthol. Very approachable.

High class stuff. Concentrated black fruits, almost Bordeaux-like graphite on the nose. Good freshness. Linear on the palate, tight and bone dry with great acidity. Elegant like a Pauillac, but without the oakiness. An exciting wine.

As good as the 2012 straight Cabernet is, the 2012 Cab Malbec - at this early stage in its development - is even better. Beautiful ripe black fruit, dust, a hint of bramble, aniseed, and a subtle touch of wood. All this is perfectly framed within a tannic structure that is robust, but fine and approachable. Nothing about this is excessive, it's very well balanced and has excellent concentration and length. Great now with clearly excellent potential.
