Needs food to shine. We drank with shrimp creole. Worked OK.

Medium red color with slight transparency. Aromas of mulberry, cherry, raspberry, and some plum. Palate has good red fruit elements with strawberry and cherry dominating. These are joined by some earthy elements along with some notably unripe seed or stem tannins that are a bit coarse and bitter on a medium finish. Overall, a fine value for the price and provides a good accompaniment to the summer and fall table. Drink or hold.
