Ruby color with the characteristic Amarone nose of dried fruits, figs, cherries, and oak. Medium acidity, dense, expressive palate with figs, dates, licorice, cherries, blueberries, tobacco - so complex and layered! Medium, plush tannins still somewhat grippy, and a long, lingering, balanced ending with white pepper and oak. This wine surprised me - very well balanced and approachable already. This will surely improve with 4-5 years more of rest, but it’s incredibly enjoyable now already. 94 today, 95-96 potential. Excellent!

Beautiful Amarone - drinking well now. Quick decant, then back into bottle. Very well balanced, rich, muted acidity (which I like). Drank Christmas day in GA.

My first Amarone, a little over the top for me. Will need to experiment more to make an educated assessment

Aerated to decanter for 4 hours, served non-blind. A serviceable, comfortably priced Amarone Classico. Though for my tastes, I'll drop the extra $20 and triple the quality/experience. Enjoyable, no more. Another 5+ years at this level, it would seem. Still needs to better integrate the oak. For fans, this is recommended https://www.ItalianWine.blog

Plenty of oak treatment to tame 15.5% alcohol. Nevertheless very approachable now in a early drinking style. Fine tannins soon dissolving. Recommend to pair with dishes on the smokey side.
