This bottle was opened on Saturday, January 10th and has been carefully vacuumed every day since. The last glass was actually better than the first. Still solid mouthfeel, and aromatic. Not as juicy as it was on day 1, but that's actually a good thing for this wine.

Delicious easy drinking red wine blend. Doesn’t need food. An excellent interpretation of a Rhône wine.

Pleasantly surprised by this. Cherries and red berries with good peppery spices. Some oak and minerals give it structure. Always thought this was more of a syrupy sweet kitchen sink blend, rather than a GSM. $13 at Total Wine is a steal.

Quite warm and generous spice notes which I would believe reflect the oak character of the wine. That character dominates the wine. So in the main, doesn't really have much wine character per say, or maybe rather just tastes quite manipulated. Not saying it tastes bad, just more wine product then wine. Average in quality, average in value.

Part of a larger tasting. Mourvedre, Syrah and Grenache. Very fruit forward. Cherry, blueberry, spice and chocolate. Silky smooth. Not very complex, but very enjoyable.

$11.99 at Costco. Agree with all takes here. Soft, fruity with some backbone. Easy drinker, nothing out of whack. Pairs well with the well-seasoned chicken, salmon and light pork spectrum. Too light for steak, but would do in a pinch. I imagine would also be a friendly burger companion.

Solid GSM (ok, 56% Mourvedre) effort from Cline. Nothing spectacular, but nice for the price and food-friendly. Just a decent Rhone slightly fruit-forward blend that doesn't break the bank. Pop and pour perfectly OK. :-)

3oz pour on a flight at Cafe Vino. Light maroon appearance. Chocolate covered raspberries, some plums and tannins, a little bit of dust. Medium body. Fairly spicy. Black cherries, baking spices, nutmeg, plums, and currants. Solid but unspectacular.

Had earlier versions of cashmere. They were too dry and lacked fruit. This one is dynamite! Lots of fruit decent backbone credible price of $10-$12 a bottle. Always love GSM's or in this case MSG's. Had it with a dry aged ribeye and pork loin chop. Going to go back and buy more of it. Visited Cline Cellars in Sonoma two or three years ago. Wonderful place. Down-home friendly. Not like the fancy Napa places.

Smoky and fleshy. Very ripe, but not overly sweet. Dark fruit on the palate with a hint of caramel from the oak. Too much oak relative to the other components. Simple finish.

PnP served non-blind. Simple, easy drinking. A good choice for a late night bottle - after all the better wines have already been served - when those in charge of the cellar might be inclined to select something they'd regret opening in the morning. Not bad for $15. The 15% abv is mostly integrated at this stage. No need to wait, they're not going to get better.

Still not my favourite. And not worth the money. It is really different from a good rhone blend for the same price. Is it the cashmere or just America style? I dont know... The taste is just to sweet like Danish svesker.

Aroma: raspberry, blackberry Palate: some heat, soft, a little coffee, raspberry, leather, a little bitterness on the finish. 63% Grenache, 22% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre. It's OK. I don't think the blend is all that successful.

2009 Cline Cellars Cashmere - medium light purple in color with a fruity candied cherry bouquet. The flavor tastes like an artificial grape flavoring was added, like grape skittles. It has a smooth but very liquid mouthfeel. Not very impressed and it does not live up to the name. 79 points.

Informal Tasting of Cline Cellars Wine (Gervais & Vine, Columbia, SC) : Among a tasting of 5 wines by Cline, this is the one we chose to buy a bottle, and do further research. It was not terrible, but was a big disappointment for someone who visits the tasting room at least once a year since 1993, and readily recommends the tasting room and the wines, wherever they are sold. This is not your mother's Cline Cashmere. Once a lush, …

TN; Pouy, Zestos, Cline, Vietti (Ruffing Montessori Benefit) : This is a GSM blend. The most polarizing wine in the room. There were a substantial number of people who really liked this wine. To me, it tasted manipulated and not natural. I, of course, have no idea how it was made, but it seemed composed rather than a true expression of the fruit. It had a grapey quality along with some easy to drink black raspberry juice. It finished dry …

Medium purple. A rather simple, direct and soft fruit driven presentation of sweet grapes, ripe plum, and red cherry. Easy to drink and acceptable complement to food but too simple to be enjoyed on it's own. No reason to lay any down.

Seems to be a lot of indecision about whether this one is any good or not based on the last 10 or so reviews. It is what it is, a big jammy mouthfull at a low price. If you were looking for a substitute for Sine Qua Non, you will greatly disappointed. If you are looking for a simple any day bottle in this style, youve found it.

I tasted this on Christmas Eve. Hot on entry and dryer on the finish than I like. It was billed as a replacement for Bogle Phantom, but I prefer the Phantom. I would try again. Alcohol overwhlmed the flavors. May benefit from decanting or oxidation filter.
