A forward and bold nose, filled with ripe blackcurrant, cocoa powder, toasty oak and some intriguing lavender as the base note. Palate is quite rustic. Strong smoked meat and old spice box with notes of dry black fruits and olives. Stylistically, this Cabernet is at the halfway point between a new world Cabernet and a Medoc.
