Titanic, but nice body with plums and cherries. Really tasted well with beef.

Modestly strict, with excessively high ABV. This reminds, somewhat, of nebbiolo flavored rubbing alcohol. I suspect the fruit will be just adequate to integrate with the wine's tannins over time, with no doubt of good preservation owing to the (did I mention?) notable ABV. Advise to keep well away from open flame.

Pale to medium ruby in colour, see through in the center, with a wide clear and slightly reddish rim. Fat slow legs. Somewhat fruit forward and floral on the nose with sour red cherries, ripe plums, some earthy tones, a bit of vanilla from the oak but beautifully integrated, a touch of orange peel, and some spices and peppercorns. I do smell a bit of alcohol as well. Good upfront acidity on the palate with a great mix of earth …

Blend of best sites. Only in the best vintages. Intense, rich and dry. Great structure. Needs time. For long aging

Loved this. Heady, forward nose of dark plums and dark cherries. Mid-to-full palate of tangy, slightly sweet fruit. Plum, stewed dark cherrie, hints or orange and spice. Tannins are still prominent, but ripe and soft so the wine is a delight to drink even at this young age. Will be better in a decade.

Lighter style Barolo which proved decent to drink now. Light brick red in color. Slight floral nose leads to light cherry notes on first taste. Drying and touch astringent on finish. Decent for price.

With a ruby-red color, the Barolo Riserva is round with a heady nose but a tight palate with bountiful acidity. Lots of life here, if at the early stages of its development. [Information provided by Opera Wine ImportsScore: 95 Beautifully complex nose with pinpoint balance of ripe fruit and oak spice. Ripe plums and berries combine with cinnamon and mace, folding in brighter notes of orange peel and brighter red berries. Full, silky and flavorful with lightly firm, velvety tannins …

Decanted for three hours. Medium garnet colour. Rose petal, cherry, red fruit, beautiful raspberry notes, iron, earth, light marzipan, and spice notes, with good acidity, well-integrated tannin, and very good length. Ripe yet well-structured. Stylish, sweet and a little showy. Should be fairly long-lived. That is, if you can manage to hold your hands off… I could not!
