Either my palate was off or this wine is past it's prime. Felt it was weak on the fruit and body. Some others a year ago said it was still drinking well but 2017 for this '08 was not a good year.

Dark, dense ruby color. Ripe currants, cherries, plums, graphite, and white pepper on a bed of black fruit and earthy goodness. This is so pliant and expressive, with fine structure and a delicious, fruit-centered middle that continues through the well-rounded and engaging finish.

Decanted and waited about 90 minutes. Had it with grilled beef filet for me and marinated muchroom for her. Dark fruit (plums, blue/blackberries) on the nose and palate. Nice balance of tannins and acidity. Nice wine!

Had at Fogarty's in Bronxville, good pairing with Angus steak. PnP & drank over course of dinner. Didn't take any formal notes, but recall a round, nicely rich & flavorful Cab that matched well w/steak dinner. (91+)

Decanted. Nose: ripe strawberry, cedar, apple blossom. Palate: strawberry, cocoa, white pepper. Tannins well developed and in balance, expanded with air. Overall effect smooth without being limp.
