Nice black cherries with tart acidity, but fairly singular in character with little secondary flavor profile. Short to medium finish. Drinkable wine, enjoyable with food, but not particularly noteworthy. Probably a bit over-priced.

a very balanced and tasty PS ... it has bit of spice to it. shared at dinner w/ 4, all of us had fish of some sort, and it didn't overpower ... an interesting and fun wine as well

Truly a good wine. First words out of my mouth when I tasted it was "purplish". Lots of deep dark fruit. Tannins are there and not overpowering. Probably would age really well. Oh well. Drank our last bottle.

Beautiful dark color. Dense mouthfeel with black cherry on the palate. Firm tannins that grip. Could stand another 5+ years in the bottle, but drinking really well right now. Really good stuff.

Popped and poured (my mistake :-). Nose: very dark fruits, earthy forest smell with lots of alcohol. Taste: Like concentrate de syrah. Very big and tannic - a real tooth stainer. Dark fruits, big tannins, earth, bacon fat, bit o' leather. Too early butI had to check it out so I know when to open the next one. No score today - I'll check it again tomorrow.

with great buffalo sausage from bbq. Good solid restraint PS which seemed harmonius but isnt shining because of its youth. Never had a Chappellet PS so needed to try this. The next bottle will have to wait for 5 yrs plus porbably longer. Good dark cherry fruit beautiful color good tannins but not overwhelming. just solid wine that is fun to drink and OK in the price point range. WAIT drinking this - this can be 90+.
