2 hour decant. Still some tannin verve at that point. Fruity and tasty. Plum, huckleberry, rosemary & oregano, white pepper. Long finish. Great QPR and happy to have found this in the back of my cellar.

Excellent minervois, nice essence of morvedre

Served with grilled pork chops, roast sweet potato, salad. Look: dark, clear, dark cherry/ruby - looks young. Sniff: very nice - a floral dark fruit/cherry/plum if that makes any sense. Taste: dry, smooth, medium weight, touch of spice in the finish. A pleasant wine that will go well with variety of food. At the price, a good value for everyday drinking.

This is one of those wines that captures the allure of the reds of Southern France. This pours an opaque blackish purple, and opens with a lovely floral aroma. The flavors have a pure fresh berry character, combined with loads of garrigue and a distinct salinity. All in all, this is perfumy and delicious, even if it could use a bit more inner mouth perfume. But seriously, for $12 from Wine Buyer? An outrageous QPR.

Loads of blackberry fruit in a opulent, forward style. Some pepper and black cherry subtlety in a soft, easy drinking wine. Not much structure and not for those who seek a balance of acidity. Still, a decent value for the price point.

Wine Tasting Group (11/12/2017): Blend of mouvedre and syrah. PnP. Cherry and plum aromas complemented by green herbs, woodsy brambles, and a hint of black pepper. Palate is more about tart plums and hint of pepper. Good acids and concentration. Not that complex, but still a tasty and fun wine.

Wanting to give this every opportunity to show best I opened 4 hours ahead of serving. Served after 30+ minutes in fridge. 14% Alc and felt like it. Some oak in play. Dark, almost black color. The 80% mouvedre / 20% syrah blend is what intrigued me along with the fact I rarely drink anything coming from Minervois and south western France. I wouldn't say this reminds me much of the mouvedre dominated Bandols I usually enjoy. This was a …
