Perfumed nose, slight animal, hint of petrol. Flavours of violets, black cherry with gripping tannins and medium-long finish.

K&L Wines Burgundy Tasting (San Francisco) : Tasted at K&L Wines. Opened approximately 2 hours but not decanted. Quick notes: Sweet cherry nose with eculayptus, menthol and some vegetable notes. Fair.

Healthy red ruby. As opposed to the other reds tasted today, this looked sound and serious. Forthcoming whole berry, cherry pit fruit. Although not large scaled, this was the biggest wine tried today with chocolate tones, a nice degree of ripeness, and promising sappiness on the entry.
