Niels guessed Grenache on this to begin with but then he slowly moved towards Jura. There’s a bit of sweetness to the fruit, agreed, but this is also lots of acidity, structure and a lean body here. The fruit is light red with a hint of orange peel, earthy, mineral marks. Like with the 2013 Puffeney Poulsard I opened recently I thought this was interesting more than enjoyable to drink. With Niels at Palægade.

From the nose only I guessed Grenache - cellar-guessing a bit also. Needs a bit of air, then turns, light, a bit sauvage, by no mens tireds, way behind it's white siebling, though. Gustav said: dont hold them this long - yet, no signs of aging. #Palægade#PB

Red fruited nose very fruit forward, flavors are red fruited too, strawberry, red cherry, hint of raspberry, medium acid, no tannins, light red that is extremely nice and drinking very well and extremely enjoyable, if you can find this buy it and drink it.

nose - cranberry, rosehip, sour cherry mouth - light but sappy, tutti fruiti, tea, strawberry, lightly funky. even the diehard burgheads among the group were enjoying this.

Utterly gulpable -- dare I say in Mugnier-like fashion??? So fruity & deceptively easy-going upon opening. It picks up some complexity and tension with time, revealing some youthful restraint but still remaining so easy to drink. This will be a fun one to track (90-92 pts). Hold or drink to at least 2022, but its acid balance might carry it even further.

First bottle of the '13. Nice showing--wild herbal notes, ripe strawberries, nice balance. A somewhat short finish but may just need more time and air. Suited grilled quail with roast fruits wonderfully.

90 pts.

Lovely. More tannins and complexity than a poulsard the other day but not necessarily more enjoyable. Less strawberry. More grapefruit.

Found this on the wine list at the restaurant of the hotel we stayed at in Arbois. Given the sad news that Puffeney has sold out entirely and 2014 is has last vintage I thought this was a must buy. Absolutely delicious with its lively forest fruit, freshness and orange marks. A bit more serious than the Poulsard, more material here, this is great now but can also live for 5-10 years according to Jacques who I visited in his …
