The more exotic, high-toned nose seems to have calmed down a bit in this wine, but it still presents a beautiful aromatic profile with less of a tropical fruit presence and more like apples and pears with vaguley floral/spicy notes. Very balanced on the palate, with touches of mineral and solid acidity to support the ripe and clean fruit.

What a distinctive and delicious wine. Incredibly intense, almost exotic aromatics--tropical fruits and pink grapefruit, a touch of ripe pear. Then med-bodied, very vibrant and lively mouthfeel, with tons of juicy fruit, more pear and grapefruit, with a distinct guava flavor, nicely balanced by acidity a subtle mineral notes, and a long, clean finish. This is a field blend of 65% pinot gris and 35% charonnay. Served blind, I'd have been at a complete loss, it's that unique. No oak, …
