Über zwei Tage getrunken, im Moment zeigt sich der Wein sehr verschlossen für mich. In der Nase sehr dunkelbeerig bis hin zu etwas Pflaume und Cassis. Dazu zart kräutrig, deutlich vegetabil, und mit Noten von Lakritz und etwas Graphit. Am Gaumen sehr dicht, sehr kompakt. Sehr saftig, dichte Säurestruktur. From 75cl, perfect cork, quick decant. Intense perfume of crushed blackcurrant leaf (initially I thought blackcurrant fruit, but then went into the garden to inspect the blackcurrant bush and indeed the leaves smell exactly like this wine) and, less invitingly, commercial, oversweet raspberry jam. Light-bodied, smooth, pretty, delicate palate, with present but not overwhelming acidity. Delicious, but the scent wasn't quite aligned with the taste drinking from Zalto burgundy glasses, so I'd recommend smaller stemware. Surely Hanz got this wrong …

German Spätburgunder including slightly too much wood, resulting in a bit of a farty note. Some sweetness on mid-palate. Good wine, not my fav style.
