Il Bisserino Vin de Milàn

Dinner at Osteria Langhe (Chicago, IL) : Probably served a little bit too warm. This strikes me as a fun, simple, and quaffable red wine with a little bit of fizz on it. It's not complex but it's also not pretentious. I do find a slight bit of a carbonic character in this which I don't like.

Dry sparkling red wine.

Earlier notes hold. Naturally. Flavors more pronounced with a more cellar temperature serving.

Vibrant ruby purple with magenta highlights. Subdued mousse over persistent fine bubbles. Not much nose to speak of, but was served chilled. On the palate, rustic and dark. Graphite, blackberry, black cherry, and ash with velvety mouth-coating tannins. Not intended as a keeper, but should maintain for another year or two. Lasagna and street pizza would love th is.
