Tenuta Rocca Barolo Serralunga d'Alba

Splash decanted...started out a little tight and dusty with crushed bricks and roasted coffee...but with some air, this beauty BLOSSOMED into a gorgeous Barolo! The NOSE! OMG...dusty cherry wood, violets, sweet tobacco leaf, dried oranges, licorice...LOVE LOVE the dusty spices in this! Not at all too tannic...it's showing "almost" all the goods on the palate...crushed red berries...wonderful licorice dryness, hay straw, dried roses...there is an elegance to it, yet firm grip with structure to age...some silkiness sneaks in at times, …
