Very good, 13% alc. Colour: bright deep crimson, dark red berries, violets, sweet spice, cinnamon Bouquet: rich fruit, red berries and violets Palate: as bouquet, particularly red berries, structured, silky, great mouthfeel, good acid and long finish. March 2015

{screwcap, 13%, A$16} Bright, light garnet red. Fresh, clean, slightly developing nose of smoked cherries and an estery sort of note which hints at a vague carbonic character. Light-medium bodied palate is fresh and chewy, with light powdery tannins, fresh cherry flavours, a perfumed touch, and a medium-length finish. Doesn't shriek 'old-world' by any means; but does avoid over-fruitiness.Back label promises 6-9 years cellaring; I've no problem with that.
