Domaine de Bellevue (Jérôme Bretaudeau) Macération

Reductive as fuck on the nose, something that doesn't blow off so you just have to get past it. I was expecting big texture, phenolics and structure here, but this was surprisingly elegant and soft. Not much excitement on the flavor front, but really good gastronomic character to this wine. Goes down to easily.

Quite a bit of structure that balances well the fruit for a smooth finish. You get that skin contact funkiness without the lasting bitterness that can come with these wines.
