Opens very well By no means finished in its window. Looking forward to drinking our remaining bottles over the next few years.

attempted to open the bottle but the cork was dry and broke, so strained the wine then airated it into a decatur. the smell seems good so decided to hold the wine for two hours in the decantur. i was afraid the wine had gone bad because of the bad cork, but that was not the case. taught me not to worry too much if the cork fails when opening. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There …

Good bottle from reputable boutique winery. 100% Cabernet 100% estate grown. Out of the bottle huge bouquet, tannin bomb disaster, took about 30mins in a decanter to finally calm down. Inky purple, medium legs, medium acid, medium finish ~15seconds. Not a fruit bomb IMO, but at 13years old it wasn’t pruney either. Faded quickly 1-2hrs. IMO this bottle was at the end of its drinking window and on a slight downward scale. Cork was failing. A good bottle nonetheless but …

Decanted for only 30 minutes, the wine was ready to go right of the bat, but it continue to improve as the night went on. Two hours later the smell of this wine was a pure and delicate heavenly stage, it’s like be inside a huge bubble with pure oxigent inside. The body is medium plus, the finish is medium, and notes of blackberries, with tabacco, minerality and a touch of pepper.

Also popped the 2007 and 2008 Nomads (all bought at the same time several years ago). This 2007 was easily the best of the bunch. This wine was second for our tastes. Good balance and a little more secondary notes than the 2008. And definitely a better finish than the 2008. This one is ready to drink in the near term (next couple of years)

Last bottle of our 2006 Stewart. Wonderful cabernet drinking really well with hints of blackberries, cocoa, mint, pepper and licorice. Very soft tannins with a delightful finish.

This wine cellars very well. Nice notes of rip red figs, blueberries, red licorice and toast. Soft tannins and balanced acidity. Unfortunately we only have one 2006 left in our cellar. This was an enjoyable wine.

Absolutely stunning. Took an earlier note and let it stand open for 45 minutes before pouring and it was perfect. Big and rich with real texture and finesse.

Still quite young but showing tremendous character and complexity. Will get even better with time.

Medium purple. More integrated now. Smooth mocha and dark fruits. Less fruit than 2 years ago. Solid cab for $27. Wish we had bought more.

Good wine. Not great. We were hoping for a bit more from this Napa Cab.

Delicious once again. Give this beauty 30-45 minutes in the glass and watch it come to life.

This a great wine - classic napa. Opens like a fresh polo shirt - soft yet will clearly go the distance. jr

Great texture. A silky Cabernet that delivers. Never had this before and I'm impressed with the ease of approachability. Being 100% Cabernet, it can be hard to drink young, but this was very friendly right out of the bottle. Not overly complex. I get a polished wine with hints of milk chocolate. Almost Cabernet dessert.

A little worried about this bottle - it had an immediate, funky/off smell that took nearly an hour to dissipate. Also, my first taste about 40 minutes after being decanted still had a noticeable level of tart acidity. It's starting to hit its stride and I must confess I'm a big fan. The confession because this wine exhibits a level of excess, which is a style that is increasingly coming under criticism and more significantly, one that I've dis-favored over …

Opened 2 hours... Nice cranberry color. Menthol, tobacco, oak, dark cherry on the nose - but you've got to dig for them. Palate expresses black cherry, bouncy tannins, graphite, earthiness, cassis. Long, developing finish that holds true to the palate expression. Very nice wine. Another year or two should round out the tannins nicely; should be enough fruit to hold out.

Close second to Frank Family 2007 cab that night. Dark berry/cherry aromas, though tighter than Frank Family. Smooth, mocha and dark berry flavors. First time trying a Stewart cab -- would buy this again.

I agree with the author of the previous note. This is a finely balanced wine with a great mouthfeel, some complexity, plenty of fruit and very rich and silky tasting; the aromatics are more interesting than previously described with classic tobacco, dark cherry fruit and graphite notes; respectable finish; for the price and quality of the wine this is no ordinary CA cab! Drinking very nicely after a full five days given me the impression that this wine may continue …

The only thing missing from this wine was the aromatics - notably muted, they were somewhat deceptive because the wine delivered an amazing level of intrigue. Slightly shy of deep purple. The initial aromatics failed to deliver any discerning characteristics but in the mouth, the fruit was rich; the acidity bright and the finish firm & tannic but nicely balanced and so, the total package, though less than mind-bending, was solidly enjoyable.
