The tale of 4 bottles! The first, perfect and intriguing. The 2nd, simple but enjoyable. The third, fruit forward and again, simple but at least, balanced. More simple, with more fruit and less acid than previous bottles, but still enjoyable. This bottle totally void of that earthy, savory character that I noticed in a bottle 10 months ago. I’m so impressed with this wine and producer. Their Grenache was the first of their varietals I ever tasted…must’ve been 15+yrs ago. As well, the wine that I’ve always praised as their benchmark (side note: their Cabs, with some age on them, are quite impressive). Though I’ve always liked the acidity in Grenache and this bottling is more on the low to mid level, what I’m really diggin’ is the savory/salinity that I don’t recall from past experiences. Absolutely Lovin’ …
