Dark crimson. Improved over last two years. First night lots of Pessac tar and gravel, but still smooth and easy to drink. But the second night brought out the fruit notes with cigar box and nice full mouthfeel. This is nowhere close to the end of its life at 10 years.

This is an excellent 2018 Boudreaux! With hints of blackcurrant, graphite, tobacco, cedar, refined oak, elegant, and structured. Decant for 30-45 minutes prior to drinking.

On n'ose, plum, tobacco, leather. On palate, black ripe fruits, plums, cherry. It's well balanced, medium bodied, fruit forward and easy to drink. There is quality, however it remains very classical. Much enjoyed.

Surprisingly fruit forward and approachable for a Bordeaux. Lots of plum and bramble berry notes on mouth and palate. Very much a New World style. Seems perhaps even slightly off-dry? Well-balanced w/ medium plus acidity. Mild tannins. Medium bodied. Drink now.

Closed and bitter on pop and pour. Delicious kirsch on day 2. Give this lots of air, or hold for another 2 years.

this was fantastic. Subtly pure fruit with just enough earthy complexity. Stellar from the pop, and great value at $29 (Costco).

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Consistent throughout. The 2018 pours a deep garnet with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe black and red fruits: black currants, blackberries, raspberries, red rope licorice, leather ball glove, a touch of tobacco, a bit of bell pepper, rich organic earth, and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium …

Delightful fruit forward Bordeaux. Red fruits and cigar box notes, long soft finish and open for business. Great QPR at $15 a bottle. Perfect mid-week drinker - awesome with a NY Strip with au poivre sauce.

This was a quite tasty merlot dominant blend. A pleasing 91+, but a bit too modest in aim to score higher. Fruit forward, someone below said plum and I agree. I thought this was juicy and open right now, but without being cloying or flat. Some might prefer more age, but I liked it as is. Now I want to try the grand vin and their white!

QN: lightish in color, aromatically red fruited with plenty of earthy ash, moss, iron aromas, finishes light in weight, a bit hollow, a bit firm. better with food. feels very 2nd wine, un-2016... distinctive and nice.

This second wine from the Chateau is nice. Not a "great wine" but definately a notch above servicable. Balanced. Rich enough. Restrained even. Not a heavy hand with the oak. Mid-palate attack is a touch gamey. Smooth finish. Would consider buying again at the right price (under $16 USD).

Bright ruby red, slight age on the rim. Nose has red fruits, plums, savory herbs. Palate is medium bodied, touch of acidity and not overly complex. Cassis, vanilla, definitely has seen some oak. Finishes medium with resolving tannins. Nothing to blow your socks off, but nice bdx.

Deep medium ruby. On the nose: explosion of ripe black fruit, blackberry, black plum, cherry, boysenberry, bramble, slight green vegital and herb. On the palete: dry with fruit forward flavors matching the nose. Medium acidity with medium(+) smooth tannins. Medium alcohol that brings medium body. Finish of 10+ seconds. Buy again and again.

Very plush wine, but not terribly complex. Should have taken better notes, but I recall plum notes at foreground. For $20, this was a very nice wine, but didn't wow me.

Deep violet in the glass to a garnet red at the rim. On the nose blackberry, dried cherry, and plum. On the pallet, it is well balanced a slight vegetable quality on the mid-pallet not overly grippy and the oak notes play well with the dried berry fruit notes. The finish was not very long and didn't strike me as complex either. Not the best at 40 or more US dollars.

Still very young, not much tannin when first open. Things started to show better after 4 hours decant. Sea salt, graphite, vanilla, espresso and some bitterness at the finishing. med finishing but gets better towards the end with med+ pretty long silky finishing.
