Very Good++. Cruising along, developing some early tertiary notes while also retaining some (too) high pitch notes as well. Solid Merlot, easy to drink with a rustic edge. 13% abv A deal at $14 USD. No hurry

Caparone Merlot, how I love thee... Delicious even young. I'd rest this for 2-3 more years or more for even more deliciousness. Night 1: Drank without decanting although we ran it through a vinturi. Just a tad tight initially opened up 1 -1.5 hours later. Very well balanced and complex. Pepper, red fruit nice tannins and a long beautiful finish. Day 2 - Opened up perfectly and was even better. More balance and a little more focus on the fruit.

Big, earthy and bold. One of my favorite Merlots. Lots of tobacco, leather and earth. Unfiltered and unfined with all the characteristics that go with it. Not for the fruity, light merlot lover, this one echos back to the motherland of Bordeaux.

- Garnet color and aromas of blackberry, black currant, black pepper and tobacco. It's balanced with a medium/full body. Round texture with a long finish - Decanted two hours. Let it burn off a little. Rich, crushed black fruit. This Merlot is for real. Let it settle in the cellar a lot longer, its going to be even better. Well done Dave and Marc.

Drinking well with plenty of life ahead of it. Just ripe fruit, typical to the varietal, easy drinking, pure, solid wine and nice QPR. Not a ton of complexity, but I think this will gain character over time. Glad to have several more of these.
