Akkurat moden og fin, med alle kjente lukter. Mest av alt en nydelig lengde.

Classic Barolo rusty brick colour. Dried cherry, orange rind, smoldering fire ash, cola, coffee, dried Tuscan herbs. It's savoury, more-ish and quite intense. The acidity is mouth-watering, the tannins are grippy and chewy. This might be my wine of the year, I'm going to have to check my notes but right now I can't remember another wine I enjoyed more than this.

In a great place, opened up after 1hr. Drink or hold.

Well there is an undeniable gap between nose and palate. It is really good but that’s on the nose foremost. Cellaring won’t do this much better. But it is darn good

A superb and complete wine - a step above all other renditions in a 10 year vertical. Very deep, brooding but also accessible with such fine tannins. Drinks well now, and will drink well in 15yrs. Will try again with more time next week to provide more notes but this has much more blue notes and liquorice than the 2015. More complete than 2013. 95pts

Wow, this was really up my ally. Perfumed perhaps but so intriguing

Notes from memory. Opened and decanted an hour ahead of cilantro-lime grilled chicken, roasted potatoes, and seared asparagus. Perfumed nose of lavender and baking spices, while the palate was sharp and compact with an ultra-dry finish. This will be best 2024-2034. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.

Lovely youthful nose of cherry, sweet strawberry, hints of rose petals. Dry mid-weight palate with dark dark fruit over an earthy backbone. Long tingling finish and moderate slightly dusty tannins. Excellent balance. Extremely charming, engaging wine with a lot of texture and more elegant than powerful. Love these Monforte wines with their combination of balance and subtle power.

2021 Vinous Young Guns tasting : Light ruby, youthful color; aromatic, roses, deeper cherry with a richness/chewiness to it, slight earthiness, slight cinnamon spice; palate is light bodied, high youthful tannin throughout, strong core of underlying red fruit, cherry, balanced, high alcohol and shows just a bit of excess, high acidity, fruit fades somewhat towards the finish; finish is medium length and not as persistent as the earlier intensity would imply. An expressive nose of spiced plum, black cherry, earth and dried flowers. It has a palate full of rich, chewy fruits, There's depth and complexity and a long finish strewn with iron and supported by ample structure.

En mycket större barolo än förväntat. Parfym, blommor, röda bär, peppar, en touch av apelsin och mint. Och i slutet av den komplexa mixen av aromer hittar jag svaga animaliska toner. Utmärkt. Tanninerna är lite dominanta så resterande två flaskor får vila ett tag i källaren.
