Does not to seem to have lived through the corvin-ing. Rather raisinated right now. Withhold judgement for a fresh bottle.

Fresh bottle. Lots of oak, lots of richness, lots of power. Maximum extraction. Above average in value if at $60, and quality as well.

Pretty bright red cherry fruit to it. And then supple on the palate with freshness. Superior in quality and value if at $50.

In many vintages, Turnbull's Napa Valley is the best deal in the region. In 2021, it is somehow both thinner than normal and far too hot—the nearly 15% ABV overwhelms any of its usual charms. Seek out any other year from 2013-2019 instead.

Perfect cork and a 30 minute decant. Subtle nose of stewed red fruit and hints of lavender. Tannins are medium, with an electric mix of chocolate and raspberry on the palate. Beautiful alone, but really complimented a sausage and mushroom risotto. Wish I had a cellar loaded with this wine. Can easily go another ten years, but ready now.

Big dark fruit profile. Judicious use of oak. Tannins need a bit of time to better integrate at which point this gains a point to 91. Great QPR.

Enough fruit to hold back the 14.8% alcohol for a few seconds on the nose but then the alcohol comes is with pencil shavings and oak. Acid and tannins give it that chaulky finish. Good choice at under $50 price point.

250 ml carafe pour. Huge find for me over 20 years ago. Purple. Big. Ripe. Juicy. Graphite. Drank at Bistro Jeanty with grilled octopus frisée salad and fries with mayonnaise. So good. Love Turnbull!

Skews slightly plummy for my taste, but a solid choice for a multi course menu (the latter part of the meal with heavier proteins). Stubborn Seed was fantastic btw.

Smooth, elegant, emblematic of a cooler growing season. Far more understated than most Napa cabs. High acid but it’s really well balanced and doesn’t offend. A really nice table wine, would please a sophisticated drinker and casual drinker alike.

Although the 2021 vintage is an excellent one n(so far), this 2021 Turnbull Cab is at an embryonic stage, despite being given several hours of air. The wine shows tight and restricted, revealing very little to excite the senses. Well, l suppose l can’t expect a whole lot for a $45 wine but, 94 Points from Jeb Dunnuck? That’s a very generous score. Perhaps with some cellaring, it will gain a point, maybe two. 87-89 by my estimation. Not ready. …

Tasted at K&L California Cabernet Sauvignon event. So glad to be reintroduced to Turnbull, always one of my go-to Napa Cabs that I haven't gone-to in a few years, staying away from Napa Cabs as a category simply because of price perception. This was a blind tasting and Turnbull was smooth, refined, fruit forward but not over-the-top. Lovely wine. Turnbull helped me rediscover the satisfaction delivered by Napa Cabs. I'll start buying Turnbull Cabernet Sauvignon again.

Aromas of black currants, oak, spice and oxidation. FUll-bodied, this has milk chocolate to add to the red and black currants. Well past its prime, so drink up! Still pretty delicious. So rich and round. Tatiana (who loves Amarone and Priorat) says "I think its absolutely delicious"! 94

I remember having this wine in 2017 and realizing this wasn’t even close to be ready. Still angular. Tonight, while not at its peak, still really good. Best in 5-7 years. The fruits are ripe, lush, ruby; blackberries, black plum pudding, black raspberries, dark cherries, poached strawberries, raspberries, some boysenberries with raspberry hues. Velvet, dark, meaty tannins. Dark Asian & Indian spices, dark chocolate cooking bar, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanillin, dry crushed rocks, dry top soil, notes of dry herbs & eucalyptus, …

This is a fine wine that runs under the radar of those that are critic point centric. This is superb juice at nearly 15 years and going strong. Kiddios to the Turnbull team who have shaped an awesome cab from the well located estate vineyards. Plenty of room to run.

Cork crumbled, forcing a filtration to clear the cork remains. May not have been stored well, but the wine was still quite good. Mature and not likely to improve with further age. Nice fruit, smooth finish, lighter body than the typical cab. A very nice wine.

Impenetrable dark red/purple w/virtually no edge bricking, stored @55degrees since purchase. Big ripe nose of cassis, black raspberries leading to an almost rich, sweet mid-palate of the same. Resolved tannins. Almost tastes overripe. Medium finish. If this bottle is representative, then there's still a year or three left. 93 if you appreciate the style, otherwise lower score.

Clean cork. Decanted for 30 minutes, only a small amount of very fine sediment at the end. Fresh colors and aromas. This was full of fruit, round and smooth and delicious. Between 3 of us, it was gone within 60 minutes. Excellent wine.

Pop and pour. Wow! This 2007 is punching way above its weight with thick, balanced body of cassis, light acid, and fine tannins. Some earth emerged with air. If you bought this for $45 in 2010 good job!

Dense color saturation, very dark maroon showing a touch of age. Richly perfumed bouquet of brandied cherries and leather. Strong iron backbone gives it a long finish. Offset beautifully by a rich brandied-cherry flavor echoing the bouquet. But there's a little more tartness than ideal. Still some tannic grip: could soften more, but it's drinking very well right now.

There are incredible aromatics on this Cabernet. Dusted summer blackberries and creme de cassis. Delicate fine-tuned French oak strikes a perfect balance, never overshadowing the fruit. The tannins are silky, rich and smooth, detailing the amazing singularity of the terrior of Oakville. A wine of grace and beauty. Impeccable and delicious. Dramatic and just about perfect.

After seeing some lower scores and negative reviews, I decided to open this bottle in case it was a skunk. Upon opening, I too was disappointed. The tannins were very dry and rustic while the fruit was muted. And this wine is 8 years old?? Out come the Vinturi and the decanter. Poured through both and let sit in the decanter at cellar temp for about an hour. The became a totally different wine after that procedure. The tannins loosened …
