Not quite the chewy deliciousness of Nothern Blend, but still yummy

Very delicious. Very drinkable. I need to be more disciplined to let the shipment rest upon arrival before breaking in. Palate - ripe delicious black fruit. Balanced. Wonderful mouthfeel. Finish is medium plus. Acidity is medium. Eating with salmon (pacific and wild so yes I’m a foodie), simple preparation, roasted asparagus, this recreated brown rice thing, it pairs wonderfully. A red wine is perfect. There is a wonderful syrupy aspect to this Syrah. Great for the price.

Of the two Syrah clones in their Love Rocks series, this one you definitely get the fruitier expression of Syrah. A Tablas Creek clone whose origin is from Chateneauf-du-Pape I believe. This vintage though you get more of The Rocks Funk than in previous years. Not overwhelming or overpowering, its subtle and adds a nice contrast to the fruit.

Way too early to be drinking and I say let it sleep for easily 2 years maybe longer. This one feels a lot more like a big French northern Rhône. Really curious, though have to be patient, in how it develops and all those luscious notes that emerge. Appearance - clear, opaque minus ruby. Nose - clean, youthful, medium plus intensity, jammy, berries, fresh vs stewed, and you definitely get the baking spices. You smell a berry pie cooking in …
