A little past due. Fruit disappearing, tannins still present but fading, prune and raisin tones. A little oak and cedar nose still, but the cherries are gone.

black cherry cough syrup is a bit too sweet for me, but this has some structure and a bit of acidity, cedar and pepper that make this a pleasant quaff; only 13.9% alcohol but i do get a bit of eucalyptus and menthol.

Plum and cherries on the nose. A bit of vanilla joined the party in the mouth. Medium tannins, well-balanced.

Never had a Robert Hall. Was surprise by the first sniff of this wine - it got my attention. somewhat of a complex aroma - Ripe cherries, hint of vanilla and licorice with a backgroud of very faint cedar. Colour was medium red. On the palete not as compex as the aroma but well balanced. Cheeries and mineral on the front end, with a nice finish that last about 20 seconds. Very soft Tannis.

Good example of why the Central Coast is famous for Merlot. Medium-deep in color with a nice nose. Opens well, providing hints of fruits and minerals. Nice finish also. A GV at less than $15.

Aroma of cherry with faint aroma of cedar. Flavors of dark cherry on the palate. This is fine for an everyday Merlot and wouldn't reject it, but I wouldn't serve it when hosting guests or trying to showcase some really good wines.
