Moshin Vineyards Pinot Noir North Coast

Good Pinot. Soft here with a little underbrush but not too much interesting. Time to drink up if you have it.

Good wine. Lighter Pinot. Drinking well here. Balanced but a bit fruit forward at first then structure develops.

Decanted 30-60 minutes prior to drinking. Started out as one of the worst Moshins in memory -- flabby, lacking all acidity, and sort of vaguely stewy in flavor. Over the course of the meal an actual wine began to emerge -- cherry on the front, some olive juice in the middle -- but not worth the price.

A day tasting in the Russian River Valley, Sonoma (Russian River Valley) : Pretty, light, bright. A bit of tar and black fruit. Good firm acid. Long, tight finish. Good.
