Not sure why this wine is so maligned. Upon initial tasting straight from bottle, it was rather thin and tasted over-oaked (probable reason for poor reviews here). However, after aerating for 2 hours, the tannins became silkey and the oakey character faded. After 3 hours, it tasted remarkably fresh. Napa fruit abounded. Quite good.

Surprisingly good with bright and opulent fruit, firm tannins and typical Rutherford dust. I rec'd this as a gift, but wish I could find more of these. It would be even better in another three years.
