Surely impressed on boring pizza night. Bought a few of these for a very good price and this overdelivered immensely. Rose petals…sour cherries. Tannins but not overwhelming. Was not expecting this to be as good as it was.

Medium garnet/blood color. Cherries, orange peel, leather, earth, slight tar, some lifted alcohol. Palate is very forward and generous, red fruited, pronounced acidity, firm grippy tannins, youthful, needs more time but is already somewhat approachable. Looks like a Barolo, smells like a Barolo, tastes like a Barolo.

Walkaround tasting so just short notes : Beautiful wine, some earthy impressions, red berries, good and fresh acidity, full bodied and delicious. Already a pleasure. Will improve over the next 5+ years and will drink lovely for at least another 5.
