Typical of California Pinot, intensive fruit forward even at this latter age. The tanins are smoothed out but also like these Pinots the alcohol is overwhelming making it slightly out of balance.

The color was more saturated than a typical Pinot and was a medium to deep ruby core. Tasted over several hours with the wine opening up after 2 hours. The nose was perfumed with notes of plum, cedar, and flowers. The mouth was cherry and cola with still plenty of acidity after 10 years. The wine had a nice mid palette and weight, with a medium-long finish.

The last of my 750ml bottles and tasted side x side with the Kosta Browne version of the same vintage. Consistent with prior tastings - highly extracted, syrupy, hedonistic. Better as a cocktail wine than an accompaniment to food.

Drank from magnum and opened 2 hours prior to drinking. Absoultely beautiful, fully mature/integrated but couldve gone a couple more years. Stood head and shoulders above 13 KB Kanzler, 14 Rivers Marie Kanzler and 15 Kanzler Walker Station

Very candied and stylisticly very much like older Kosta Browne. Very extracted syrupy red fruit, cola, and vanilla with touches of damp earth. Not overly complex but immediately enjoyable.

Ruby red in color. 14.6% ABV. Beautiful nose of red fruits, cloves and baking spices. Medium body with exquisite acidity. Loaded with fruit. Well balanced. Black cherries, cranberries, nutmeg and mushrooms on the palate. The finish is exceptionally long. I think these wines are best 5-7 years from vintage when everything seems to come together. Delicious Pinot Noir. Drink over the next 2-3 years.

An excellent Pinot representation from Sonoma. Full bodied with spiced black cherry nose and flavors of ripe cherry, cola, and brown spices. This is a full wine but it has balance to go with it.

Deep ruby in color. Vibrant color and lovely weight. Dark cherry aroma and this continues to the palate. Lovely mouthfeel and this wine coats the palate with flavor. A bit of heat that persisted even after a nice decant. Smooth and persistent finish. This one clearly had years left ahead to enjoy. Baking spice elements pair well with the rich fruit.

Thank God! I have 3 more bottles of this wine! It is one of the most delicious wines I have ever tasted. From the moment it was opened, the bouquet burst from the bottle. This wine has great character and just resonates! Black cherries and a little black licorice on the finish....NOT a typical Pinot! We applaud the expression and can't wait to try again....although we will pace ourselves!

Big Ol' Fruit Bomb. A nice upgrade from the 2011 Williams-Selyem Weir PN we started our evening with. 1 hr decant. Black Cherry and Rhubarb with spice and a very smooth entry. I think this will gain a point or two with a few years of cellar time.

A bunch of wines with Friends at NVW&C (Napa Valley Wine & Cigar) : This is huge, big, bold, California Pinot Noir. Purple/ruby in color.
