Aldegheri Ripasso della Valpolicella Classico Superiore Santambrogio

OK, this is the 16th day this bottle has been opened and about 3/4 full, closed off with a vacuum stopper. I can't remember my first taste of this, but it's drinking very well now. The nose is a balanced mix of wood, smoke and flowers. Medium bodied and smooth, with a bit of sweet fruit. Very little of the smoky/woody notes until the end. The finish is still clean and slightly tannic, but less than expected for being open …
