Domaine Thibault de Planiol Corton-Renardes

Over five years later and this is still singing. It doesn't seem to have developed much, honestly. It's still fresh, with a red fruited nose, some cedar notes pop with a little bit of thyme and mineral notes. Other than that, it still seems underage. The tannins are still dusty but velvety in texture, acid is medium plus. This should develop for another 5 years at least and, well stored, it will live for a decade more at least.

Took about 30 minutes to open up but this was delicious. Smooth, elegant, restrained, very good balance both on the nose and the palate. Acid is medium, tannins are rounded and dusty towards the end. Very good effort.
