Montecalvi, Chianti Classico

This wine started out very impressively. It had lift and freshness to start along with zingy red fruit flavors and a long finsh. I was thinking, wow, this will be memorable but, it really seemed to lose its freshness and became more plummy and ponderous about an hour or so in. I ended up dumping at least a glasses worth.
