This was excellent. Popped and poured, showed a beautiful silky fruit on the nose. And the finish went on forever. Drinking beautifully.

Decanted three hours. Beautiful ripe To-Kalon Cabernet from Luc Morlet, going strong with the usual blackcurrants and thick, smooth texture.

2007 vintage

Classic BTK nose and palate of graham crackers and dark fruits, with dusty tannins and some red hots on the finish. This wine is drinking extremely well right now, definitely has a few more years to go. Gave a 3 hour decant on day 1, felt like it picked up some weight on Day 2. For me Day 2 > Day 1, but trust me, it'll be difficult to wait that long!

Wow. Did this wine deliver! It has hit peak but continues to be well balanced and integrated. Still feeling relatively young and fresh with no signs of loosing it's spunk. Decanted for 12 hours at wine cellar. Pure and concentrated wine offered a hint of smokiness and dark dark fruits. The body was medium full and opaque. The mature tannin brought a mere one minute lasting. I was surprised that this one was not jammy, and had its own strong character. It totally was a profound gentleman. The whole experience leaded me to rethink the possibility of To-Kalon and the greatness of this site.

A really nice bottle with good dark fruit, nice tension and good complexity. Nice glassy, silky body but the finish was a little edgy due to the tannins. A touch of herbal funk as well. Really nice wine that was beaten out by a 2012 Tor BTK. Drank in honor of Chateau Boswell -- such a tragedy. Had many a great Realm tasting with Juan in their cave.

Nose: A burst of fresh, clean fruits straight from the pour (I might be even picking up some Mangosteen flesh from afar). Monthly Men's Wine Dinner (2120 Restaurant, Seattle) : Decanted and served. Deep, full body marred by lots of brett. Although I found it undrinkable because of my sensitivity to brett, it was still the overwhelming WOTN because everyone else voted for it! In general I love these wines.

Double decanted 2.5 hours. Needed 30-45 minutes more to fill out the body. Delicious and balanced Oakville Cab, entering its drinking window. Reminds me of Opus One.

Popped and poured. Superb old-world-style Cabernet with the delicious fruit from To-Kalon vineyard. This is drinking like a young premium St.-Julien. Firm acid and tannins, integrated oak and black fruit, long finish. This just got better as the evening wore on. This is a Bordeaux-lover's Napa Cab.

Drank over 2 days. Night one vs '14 Carter LPV and the Carter was the clear winner. I went into this with expectations of it being as good if not better than the Carter. This is going to be one of the best BTKs ever. Great acidity. Lovely fruit. Just starting to develop. As I said in 2015, has the brooding aspect of the 2006s out of the gate. They have softened by and large, but this is evolving very very slowly.

What an exquisite wine. Just tremendous. The nose is pure To Kalon -- rich with licorice and dark fruit. Really hard to describe the smell that you get from this great vineyard, but it is all captured here. Incredibly powerful, layered and concentrated on the pallet. Just a beautiful wine. A shame it no longer exists if you can find any, buy it A huge aromatic wine with notes on ink, eucalyptus, dark dark fruit. No cherry. All blackberry, blueberry and boysenberry. The taste is both elegant and huge. Taste as it smells plus some pepper. Still needs an hour decant. A fabulous wine.

Wow. This really developed nicely since I tasted my last bottle. Intoxicating floral nose, intense, clean fruit on the palate balanced by secondary flavors of cedar and tobacco. Long finish. This is turning into a real beauty with several years to go in it's drinking window.

out of a plastic cup, no decant, cork floating in the bottle (long story) - no heat for a very high alcohol wine. still brooding, as I noted four years ago, a 2007 with the qualities of a 2006 (a compliment from me) Glad I have a bit more.

Nose is intense blackberry jam and ripe sweet plum. Midpalate is ultra thick and mouthcoating without being even slightly syrupy. Finish is this full throttle with an attack of cassis and blackberry, cocoa powder then this subtle lift of lemon zest. Hands down, this is what Cabernet is all about. Dark purple, nose of cigar, mint faint fruit. Palate brings the same with fairly heavy wood, tobacco, some mint. Fairly tannic. The underlying fruit is nice and makes a late appearance segueing into a nice long finish. Not what I was expecting and may improve over several years. For now somewhat of a letdown.

San Antonio Wine Geeks; 4/13/2012-4/14/2012 (Tre Trattoria) : Big rich blackcurrant and vanilla nose. Palate with finely polished tannins, concentrated dark fruit with a bit of cassis to highlight. Quite concentrated, but tight, as it seemed to keep a lot in reserve. Showing oak spice and coffee on a moderate finish. Primary and young, needs to time to come around. Solid, with high quality tannins and good depth, but didn’t distinguish itself. 91-93

Brought to dinner out and had it decanted for 30 minutes before tasting; unbelievably smooth and balanced; the fruit is more subdued than I would have expected for such a young wine; this could be shutting down a bit, but can't be sure. This wine has immense potential and should be long lived.

Just in the barrel for a few months, already starting to integrate. Beautiful dark purple color with a ruby glow. Nice fruit with black berry, currant, licorice and dark chocolate supported with another layer of complexity at the back end, showing some cedar, tobacco, mocha components. From barrel sample, this wine is absolutely fabulous. Tremendous balance, complexity, classically dry. This is fabulous stuff. This puts most cult wines to shame. I'd probably give this 96+. The fellow pouring was amusing and had a nice pink shirt:)

WOW. The earthy dark black quality of a great 2006 with the purity of a great 2007. Parker gave this 93? I have no idea.

Quite honestly has to be one of the all time best young cali cabs I have ever had. Unbelievable balance, structure, fruit, complexity and finish I have yet to experience in Napa Valley cabs. Just an all around knock you on your seat, mind bending wine drinking experience. A definite WOW moment that superlatives struggle to relay to the innocent bystander.

Had this bottle with friends at dinner. Decanting this wine for nearly 4 hours before drinking. This wine is very big and Harlan-esq. Very big and thick. Lots of vanilla with hints of chocolate. This wine needs another few years as it is a little rough rough with subtle heat on the finish--albeit very manageable and not very noticeable. In two years I might change the rating from 96 to 99.

This might be one of the best young California cabs I've EVER had. This has amazing balance, but it still reminds you it's still a toddler. Chateau Boswell has been making wine since 79, yet they still are relatively unknown. Make the effort to find this, if you can!

Fantastic wine even if a little young. Deep color. Fruity and full bodied. Great nose. Nice sensations around the entire mouth - great ballance. This is my favorite so far without question.

Consider yourself lucky if you get your hands on this, absolutely spectacular! Only 250 cases! Very young but approachable with 2 hours decanting; regal nose that only a big Cab is capable of; silky smooth tannins with big fruit and layers of complexity including notes of blackberry and plum; finished for > 30 seconds; watch out Eagle and Schrader!

Just awesome. So well balanced, full and rich without being heavy. Black cherry, dark fruit, muted chocolate. Exceptional. Fine grain tannins that finish forever.

Tasted the components out of the barrel at the winery. This will be *huge*. Not sure if any of the critics are rating this or not, but I would not be surprised to see 100 pt scores. Obscenely good...I'm not sure what the final blend will be, but if I had to rate, I'd say 98-99 pts.
