John Anthony Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville Vineyard

Excellent cab, still very young. Gave it an hour of air, kept improving over three hours of drinking.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. It smells like chocolate. The body is full. The wine has polished texture. The wine has medium acidity.

Deep inky purple, mouthwatering black berries, and tannins that indicate this needed more time in the bottle. Needed a minimum of 2 hours to open up when decanted. Lovely fruit forward scent and mouth feel. I'll be waiting a couple more years before opening another.

Dark fruits and opaque clarity for this very fruit forward wine. Alcohol is high but blows off and balanced with the big berries. Not sure how this will develop over time; potential for it to be awkward.
