An unusual wine, made from the Vidiano grape which is slowly making a comeback from near extinction. Grown in Crete on the slopes of the highest mountain. Med + body, Oily texture, taste of bruised apricots, some citrus and tropical notes and salinity.

Extremely dry, herbal, saline - no fruit to speak of. Went beautifully with a white clam pizza. High desert herbs, cooked down vegetables, bit of white pepper (like the trinity of celery, peppers and onion cooked down and seasoned to make a jambalaya - if that makes any sense). Good acidity. Really different style - not many wines I can compare to.
